THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CONNECTION (K de Melo) and EXPEDITIONER (K Matsunyane) were restless in the stalls. b) FULLIAUTOMATIX (*J R Syster) became restless and jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) BRITISH DIVA (*S Sosibo), ANFIELDS ROCKET (*P Mxoli) and KITE SURFER (M van Rensburg) were slow losing one length. d) BALLISTA (J Greyling) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice J R Syster eased FULLIAUTOMATIX out of the race at the 600m and thereafter reported that he felt something amiss with FULLIAUTOMATIX in running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) At approximately the 200m, EXPEDITIONER (K Matsunyane) and TIME SILHOUETTE (M Yeni) became unbalanced when bumped by STORMY LASS (R Danielson) which took an awkward stride and rolled out. c) Jockey G Lerena did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages and thereafter reported that MUSICAL KISS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with CONNECTION in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) TIME SILHOUETTE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee C Jena advised (RS). f) EXPEDITIONER (K Matsunyane), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Ncube advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) KITE SURFER was ridden by Jockey M van Rensburg (declared 26 April 2022 at 07H50). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) MUSICAL KISS raced unshod (declared 26 April 2022 at 06H56). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CONNECTION injured mouth in the stalls. b) GREENLIGHTFORGO scalp wound left hind. c) MUSICAL KISS not striding out right front. d) FULLIAUTOMATIX lame right hind. Veterinary Certificate required prior to racing (Rule 49.7 applies). Specimens collected for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (TL). Trainer G J Maroun is to be issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 50.1.3, in that he entered the horse QUEEN BRITANNA for the abovementioned race when it had not been graded tractable within sixty days prior to declarations. c) MO JIVE reserve runner.
