THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) NO TIME IS TAKEN (M Yeni) broke through the front gates resulting in IN CAHOOTS (*J Solomons) breaking through the front gates. The Starting Stall Certificate for NO TIME IS TAKEN has been withdrawn.
b) MIDNIGHT BADGER (W Kennedy) was slow into stride.
c) EPIC DREAM (*P Mxoli) was unruly at the start and broke through the front gates. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to EPIC DREAM, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion on a raceday. Suspension dates: 27 April 2022 to 3 May 2022. EPIC DREAM may not be presented for repassing during this period. Stable Employee M Ncube advised (PHvdW).
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to NO TIME IS TAKEN, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 27 April 2022 to 3 May 2022. NO TIME IS TAKEN may not be presented for repassing during this period. Stable Employee M Peter advised (PHvdW).
c) Leaving the 300m, IN CAHOOTS (*J Solomons) was switched out to obtain a clear run.
d) Jockey M Yeni (NO TIME IS TAKEN) and Jockey K de Melo (RUN APRIL RUN) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses.
e) IN CAHOOTS (*J Solomons), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Mtwesi advised (DR).
