THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DARK HORSE (S Khumalo) and REAL CHURCHY (M Yeni) commenced to give ground to the field from the 600m and thereafter Jockey Yeni reported that REAL CHURCHY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) DAWN MISSION (D de Melo) hung in from the 300m. c) SEA OF GALILEE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
