THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MANDALA EFFECT (W Kennedy), INTREPID ACT (A Marcus) and BARBATTI (*K Strydom) were stubborn to load. b) LADOOSHKA (M Yeni) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) From a wide draw, CAPE THUNDER (*M Katjedi) raced around the field and to the lead at the 1600m. Thereafter, this gelding compounded in the straight. b) INTREPID ACT (A Marcus) was hanging in between the 400m and the 150m. c) GIJIMA MFANA (S Moodley) shifted out away from the crop at the 400m d) Jockey M Yeni reported that LADOOSHKA did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer G H van Zyl will be questioned regarding the improved performance of MANDALA EFFECT (W Kennedy) compared to this colt's previous run on the 24 April 2022. f) MANDALA EFFECT (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
