THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RATTLE BAG (S Brown), NABEELA (*K A Brewer) and DIAMONDS N DOLLARS (K de Melo) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CODE ZERO (K Matsunyane) and FASINADA (C Habib) over-raced in the early stages. b) LIVERPOOL LEGEND (S Khumalo) hung in badly from the 500m and proved difficult to assist, despite a number of corrective measures taken by Jockey S Khumalo. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer S J Gray will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of LIVERPOOL LEGEND on return to stables. c) Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with QUEEN BOMI in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that DIAMONDS N DOLLARS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning QUEEN BOMI, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, advised. f) CODE ZERO (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) MARIPOSA raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 26 April 2022 at 14H00). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) LIVERPOOL LEGEND examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) QUEEN BOMI bilateral epistaxis, recommended 60-day suspension.
