THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FULL GO (D R Lerena) was slow losing two lengths. b) GREAT MELODY (D De Gouveia) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer L J Human was advised (BN). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PLENTY OF IT (W Kennedy), which over-raced, adopted an awkward head carriage around the turn and into the straight. b) GREAT MELODY (D De Gouveia), after being slow away, raced detached from the field in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, Jockey D Gouveia reported that GREAT MELODY took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) SIMPLE MAN (K Matsunyane) raced green d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GREAT MELODY, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 6 May 2022 to 12 May 2022. GREAT MELODY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer L J Human was advised. e) VESUVIO (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GREAT MELODY was ridden by Jockey D De Gouveia (declared 5 May 2022 at 07H20). b) PLENTY OF IT was ridden by Jockey W Kennedy (declared 5 May 2022 at 11H38). Stipes permission as Jockey K de Melo experienced transport complications. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
