THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STARLIT STRIP (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls. b) MOONLIT RUBY (*R A Venniker) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BELLE OMBRE (*J R Syster) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. b) LA BANQUIERE (W Kennedy) hung in from the 300m. c) IN THE ETHER (R Munger) hung in from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with IN THE ETHER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer G J Maroun will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. d) BRITISH DIVA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
