THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1400m, FREEDOM OF CHOICE (*S Sosibo), which was ridden in to obtain an inside run, bumped the running rail on two occasions. Apprentice S Sosibo appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race, and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races. b) Apprentice R A Venniker was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that she failed to ride the horse ROSAPRIMA out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards, thereby prejudicing her chance of obtaining fifth place. Apprentice R A Venniker signed an Admission of Guilt and the Board imposed a penalty of a fine of R1,500.00. c) WOKONDA (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LEE EXPRESS raced with a pressure halter (declared 28 April 2022 at 10H46).
