THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPLASH OF GREEN (J P van der Merwe) and QUIET REBELLION (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) DANCING ARABIAN (*K A Brewer), GILDED BUTTERFLY (D De Gouveia) and ARDEN PARK (K de Melo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, QUIET REBELLION (K Matsunyane) was buffeted when awkwardly placed between SPLASH OF GREEN (J P van der Merwe) and NASIRIYAH (*J R Syster). b) MAMAQUERA stumbled in the pull-up area, dislodging Jockey G Lerena. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that GOLDEN SPOON did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that ARDEN PARK did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Apprentice J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with NASIRIYAH in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m.
