THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TWICE A MIRACLE (K Matsunyane) and FIVE FORTUNES (C Habib) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1200m, TWICE A MIRACLE (K Matsunyane) was brushed in by IN THE ETHER (N Klink) who in turn was carried in marginally by MUSICAL KISS (*S Sosibo) which commenced to over-race. b) QUEEN'S NAVY (D R Lerena) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) CHOPSTICKS (J P van der Merwe) hung out from the 300m. d) SHIKOKU (G Lerena) shifted out away form the crop in the concluding stages. e) SHIKOKU (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
