THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLUE ERUPTION (M Yeni) and INTOXICATING (K Matsunyane) were slow losing one length. b) BLUE WATERS (W Kennedy) jumped inwards sharply shortly after the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, BLUE ERUPTION (M Yeni) was carried in by BLUE WATERS (W Kennedy) which jumped inwards sharply. Thereafter BLUE ERUPTION failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout. b) MISS DAISY (N Qaule) hung out from the 200m. c) In view of the performance of SPARKLEINHEREYE (J P van der Merwe), (betting 33/10, distance 8,00 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) SWEET PEPPER (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
