THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) EURYDICE (*KA Brewer) refused to load and was withdrawn.
b) NINTYFIVE SKYLINE (F Herholdt) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter slow into stride.
c) KOMMETJIE (X Ndlovu) jumped awkwardly, losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride.
d) HONEST QUEST (G Cheyne) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) After being slow to begin, KOMMETJIE (X Ndlovu) raced detached from the field in the early stages and only responded to the rider's urgings from the 300m.
b) In view of the report from the starter regarding EURYDICE (*KA Brewer), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 21/05/2022 to 27/05/2022 inclusive. EURYDICE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding KOMMETJIE (X Ndlovu), Trainer JH Strydom will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10
d) HONEST QUEST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
