THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SEEKING THE ONE (L Mxothwa) was reluctant to load. b) DANCE VARIETY (C Zackey) and LITTLE SUNNY (C Bantam) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHILI PALMER (S Khumalo) and LITTLE SUNNY (C Bantam) raced green. b) In view of the performance of DEL BOY (D Ashby), which finished tailed off, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SEEKING THE ONE (L Mxothwa), Trainer B Crawford will be advised to have this colt re-schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. d) Trainer SJ Snaith was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within two (2) business days that LITTLE SUNNY had been gelded. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer SJ Snaith was fined R 250,00. e) SEEKING THE ONE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
