THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOCKHEED ELECTRA (A Arries) lost two lengths. b) HALLERBOS (S Moodley) and DELTRON ENERGY (J Gates) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 1400m, SO DACHA (M V'Rensburg) which raced fiercely in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist, shifted out sharply which resulted in the saddle on this gelding slipping sideways. Thereafter, despite Jockey M V'Rensburg's efforts to keep this gelding on a straight course, SO DACHA continued to shift outwards towards the outside running rail, which resulted in him racing wide from the 1300m and compounding in the straight. In view of this report, the Stipendiary Board, acting in terms of Rule 93.2.5, has suspended SO DACHA indefinitely, until such time as it proves tractable galloping with a companion on a race day. Assistant Trainer T Crawford acting on behalf of Trainer L Crawford advised (RH). b) BARBATTI (*M Zuma) was hanging in from the 200m. c) AL BUGATTI (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer V H Marshall advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) READY FREDDY raced equipped with blinkers (advised 20.05.22/6h35). b) SO DACHA raced with alumites in front, unshod behind and with a compression mask (advised 25.05.22/8h07). Jockey M V'Rensburg weighed out at 52.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 52kg. c) DELTRON ENERGY raced with ear muffs. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) LOCKHEED ELECTRA : Not striding out in front. b) AL BUGATTI : Over-reach left front. c) HALLERBOS : Not striding out right front.
