THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLONDE MAGIC (T Gould) was stubborn loading. b) RAINBOW THIEF (R Fourie) and RED SPHERE (A Domeyer) were stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing two lengths. c) LIKEABLE (S Khathi) and DONNA'S STAR (KA Brewer) were stubborn loading. d) DOUBLE DESTINY (K Minnie) was slow into stride. e) BELLA GLOBALE (*Y Ramzan) jumped slow, losing two lengths. f) EMILY'S SPIRIT (G Cheyne) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HEAD MISTRESS (M van Rensburg) was re-saddled at the start and DONNA'S STAR (*KA Brewer), RED SPHERE (A Domeyer) and LIKEABLE (S Khathi) were stubborn loading, causing a delay. b) CARBONADO (L Mxothwa) was hanging out from the 300m. c) RED SPHERE (A Domeyer) was hanging out throughout. d) In view of the performance of BELLA GLOBALE (*Y Ramzan) and DONNA'S STAR (*KA Brewer), the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. e) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported he felt something amiss with KIND OF BLUE, which took an awkward stride at the 600m, and eased this filly out of the race. Jockey JP van der Merwe dismounted at the 450m and the filly was attended to by the course veterinary surgeon and was selected for the taking of specimens. Trainer GD Smith was advised. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding DONNA'S STAR (*KA Brewer) and RED SPHERE (A Domeyer), Trainer GD Smith will be advised to have these fillies re-schooled before their next engagements in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) In view of the report from the starter regarding LIKEABLE (S Khathi), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 28/05/2022 to 03/06/2022 inclusive). LIKEABLE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) DONNA'S STAR, unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
