THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHERINGOMA (*P Mxoli) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) UN DEUX TROIS (S Khumalo) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SISTER LIGHT (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (RS). When afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which may have accounted for this filly's poor run on the 26th May 2022, Trainer S G Tarry explained to the Board that this filly had raced keenly over 1600m up the Vaal straight and in his opinion she had been allowed to do too much in the early stages and this had resulted in her fading out in the latter part of the race. Trainer S G Tarry also added that in his opinion, this filly is better suited to race fitted with ear muffs. b) UN DEUX TROIS, placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (HK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) IRISH WONDER GIRL was ridden by Jockey J P van der Merwe (declared 29 May 2022 at 08H08). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
