THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RISHAAN'S BOY (J Greyling), MANZ KNIGHT (S Khumalo) and MONTBLEU (*K A Brewer) were slow losing one length. b) INTERCITY (J P van der Merwe) refused to jump. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to INTERCITY, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 1 June 2022 to 7 June 2022. INTERCITY may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer L Kruger advised (GT). b) FLAG BEARER (D Schwarz) hung in from the 400m. c) MANZ KNIGHT (S Khumalo) shifted in sharply away from the crop at the 300m and thereafter again at the 150m. d) SATOSHI (*J Solomons), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Nako advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SONG OF ANGELS was ridden by Jockey K Matsunyane. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BULLETIN raced without blinkers (declared 30 May 2022 at 14H23). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) RISHAAN'S BOY scalp wound right hind and cut into right front. b) ROYAL TIGER broke down right hind at the 1100m. Humanely euthanized. Specimens collected for analysis. Trainer E Verdonese advised (TL). THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
