THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) POLDARK (*P Mxoli) raced wide, without cover, around the turn and into the straight and thereafter compounded in the concluding stages.
b) In the concluding stages, THE BRIEF (M Yeni), which shifted in away from the crop, and KNOCK TWICE (D Schwarz), which shifted out away from the crop, came together and brushed on two occasions.
c) Jockey K de Melo reported that BYE BYE BIRDIE did not stride out freely and made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with COMING IN HOT in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e) TOFFAS (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
