THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) PINNACLE (W Kennedy) was nervous in the stalls.
b) BOUQUET (K Minnie) and CHE VINCERA (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length.
c) NO GREATER LOVE (R Fourie) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) EASY LIVING (JP van der Merwe) raced without cover and proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
b) Approaching the 150m NO GREATER LOVE (R Fourie) was awkwardly placed and had to be steadied between PINNACLE (W Kennedy), which shifted in away from the crop and HOLLY'S VIEW (G Cheyne), which rolled out. As a consequence, NO GREATER LOVE (R Fourie) made contact with the hindquarter of HOLLY'S VIEW (G Cheyne), resulting in HOLLY'S VIEW (G Cheyne) being turned outwards and becoming unbalanced for a number of strides.
c) In view of the performance of CHE VINCERA (C Zackey) (Betting 11/10; Distance 14.85), which raced awkwardly on the early part of the bend and failed to respond to the rider's urgings in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d) CHERE FOR ME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM)
e) NO GREATER LOVE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, was advised. (LM)

c) NO GREATER LOVE - blood in mouth
d) ROSA DOURADA - coughing
