THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAGIC FLOWER (*G Pieterse) and TIMEINTHEWOODS (M Yeni) were stubborn loading. b) FULL GO reared in the stalls and thereafter was slow losing one length. c) CAMLICOURT (S Khumalo) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, THAI TREAT (R Munger) was buffeted between TIMEINTHEWOODS (M Yeni) which jumped in and THYMETOSHINE (G Lerena) which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) FULL GO (D R Lerena) and TIMEINTHEWOODS (M Yeni) which raced in close quarters, rolled in independently from each other from the 200m to the finish. c) CAMLICOURT (S Khumalo) raced green. d) GONE IN TIME (D Schwarz) hung in from the 150m. e) THYMETOSHINE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Warren advised (DR). f) TIMEINTHEWOODS (M Yeni), was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TIMEINTHEWOODS was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 7 June 2022 at 07H29). Trainer R Klaasen was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that she, within 2 business days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays) of the event, failed to give written notice to the Chief Stipendiary Steward of the SB in the RACING DISTRICT in which JOHNNY DOGS is being trained, that it had been castrated. Trainer Klaasen signed an Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GONE IN TIME speedy cut left hind. b) THAI TREAT blowing. c) MAGIC FLOWER fatigued.
