THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE BUND (*R Venniker) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) POTENTE (G Lerena) was tightened and steadied shortly after the start. b) THE BUND (*R Venniker) raced green and was encouraged forward in the early and middle stages. c) At approximately the 600m, UNITED PRINCE (W Kennedy) became unbalanced when it ducked out sharply for no apparent reason. d) At the 350m, WYLIE RILEY (R Fourie) and VASILIKOS (M Yeni) came together and brushed. e) At the 200m, WYLIE RILEY (R Fourie), which was hanging in from the 250m and was carried in by VASILIKOS (M Yeni) which shifted in marginally, was steadied off the heels of UNITED PRINCE (W Kennedy) which was hanging out from the 350m. f) Trainer P Muscutt signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse BEVIES DELIGHT. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. g) BRIGHT GREEN (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (LB). h) UNITED PRINCE (W Kennedy), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P A Peter advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ONE IRISH ROVER was ridden by Jockey J P v'd Merwe (advised 09.06.22/14h05). b) BEVIES DELIGHT was ridden by Jockey C Zackey (advised 10.06.22/8h30) and Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 55.3kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 54.5kg. c) QUESTION MASTER raced with ear muffs (advised 10.06.22/9h34).
