THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) SEA VISTA (*R Venniker) stubborn to load and threw its head down in the stalls. This gelding was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded.
b) ZOOBERI (A Arries) was slow into stride.
c) QUANTIFIER (C Habib) and STAR RATED (*M Katjedi) lost one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) UNCLE GEORGE (R Fourie) raced green around the turn.
b) STAR RATED (*M Katjedi) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. Apprentice M Katjedi appeared before the Board with regard to this and was advised to take measures to correct his mounts when they shift ground in races in future.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SEA VISTA (*R Venniker), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 12.06.22 to the 18.06.22. SEA VISTA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Roberts was advised. (SL)
d) FORMAGEAR (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (NS).
e) GERONIMO (S Khumalo), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (LB).
f) LAZY GUY (M Yeni), placed fourth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D I Campbell advised (SM).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a) JETAVANA raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 03.06.22/8h05).
b) STAR RATED was ridden by Apprentice M K Katjedi (claiming 4kg). Reserve runner (advised 10.06.22/13h03).
c) HAAL UIT EN WYS was ridden by Jockey R Khathi. Reserve runner (advised 10.06.22/15h24).
