THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FEEL THE MAGIC (C Zackey) and GREEN SLEEVES (*G Pieterse) lost one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) On arrival at the start, Jockey K de Melo expressed concerns with BAY OF DREAMS' action and despite the Veterinary Surgeon clearing this filly to race, elected not to fulfil his riding engagement in this Race. The Stewards determined that there was no suitable rider to substitute Jockey K de Melo and consequently withdrew this filly from the Race. As a result, BAY OF DREAMS is suspended pending a Veterinary clearance certificate being submitted to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
b) At the 350m, EDVIGE (S Khumalo) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between LUROX (S Mbhele) which rolled out and DUCHESS OF GOLD (R Khathi) which rolled in.
c) Jockey M Mjoka reported that he felt something amiss with CINDERELLA CASTLE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d) DEVILS AND DUST (M Yeni) was hanging in, in the straight.
e) HOLD MY HAND (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen advised (DZ).

a) FIAMETTA raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 03.06.22/8h05), raced with ear muffs (advised 11.06.22/7h50) and a compression mask.
b) CINDERELLA CASTLE raced without blinkers (advised 08.06.22/19h57).
c) GREEN SLEEVES raced without blinkers (advised 11.06.22/8h36).
