THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUNAR BALLADE (D De Gouveia), MONTANA NYMPH (*J Solomons), MRS SHELBY (D R Lerena), SILVER CLOCK (*K A Brewer) and WILKIES (*P Mxoli) were slow into stride. b) ANTIGUA NIGHT (C Habib) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MONTANA NYMPH (*J Solomons), MRS SHELBY (D R Lerena) and TINY DANCER (J Greyling) commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. b) BIRD IN SPACE (S Khumalo) and SILVER MENSA (W Kennedy) raced green. c) Jockey W Kennedy reported that SILVER MENSA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of SILVER CLOCK (*K A Brewer), (betting 17/2, distance 7,25 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer F Bronkhorst was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. e) ANTIGUA NIGHT (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) LUNAR BALLADE was ridden by Jockey D De Gouveia (declared 12 June 2022 at 08H49).
