THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TINDER DRY (*K A Brewer) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised (PHvdW). b) LA LUVIA (*J Solomons) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. c) TERRA TIME (K Matsunyane), FRANKLIN (G Lerena) and PRINCESS KESH (R Munger) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, TERRA TIME (K Matsunyane) and FRANKLIN (G Lerena) came together and brushed. b) TERRA TIME (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to TINDER DRY, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 15 June 2022 to 21 June 2022. TINDER DRY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised d) Jockey G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking FRANKLIN more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey G Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R 1,000.00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (13) and Jockey G Lerena's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline (3). e) PRINCESS KESH (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) IDEAL JET was ridden by Jockey C Habib (declared 14 June 2022 at 08H13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TERRA TIME raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 8 June 2022 at 08H21). b) FRANKLIN raced with a tongue tie on (declared 9 June 2022 at 07H18). c) TINDER DRY raced equipped with blinkers (declared 14 June 2022 at 07H36). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
