THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) OATHKEEPER (J P van der Merwe) was restless in the stalls.
b) During the loading process, LUKE SKYWALKER (J R Syster) kicked the back gates resulting in ALABASTER (*J Solomons) breaking through the front gates. ALABASTER was restrained by Apprentice Solomons, returned to the start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded.
c) FORD FAIRLANE (J Greyling) was slow losing two lengths.
d) PARKER GETRIX (R Munger), LUKE SKYWALKER (J R Syster), THREE BELLS (*K A Brewer) and FORD FAIRLANE (J Greyling) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) PLENTY OF IT (B Nyawo) which was encouraged forward from a wide draw, raced wide around the turn and around runners in advance of the field and compounded from the 400m. Thereafter Jockey Nyawo reported that PLENTY OF IT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b) Leaving the 400m, OATHKEEPER (J P van der Merwe) was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of LEMME GO (M Khan) which was carried in by NEVER TO CLEVER (M Yeni) which rolled in and was straightened.
c) Apprentice J Solomons reported that ALABASTER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d) PARKER GETRIX (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C I Jonker advised (LN).
JOCKEY CHANGES:

a) ALABASTER raced with a cornell collar (declared 15 June 2022).
b) ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD (GB) raced equipped with alumites in front (declared 20 June 2022 at 08H19).
c) THREE BELLS raced without a tongue tie (declared 23 June 2022 at 09H00).
d) OATHKEEPER is a gelding, incorrectly carded (Gelded 10 May 2022).
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) ALABASTER abnormal respiratory noise.
b) NEVER TO CLEVER not striding out right front.
c) PLENTY OF IT not striding out both hind.
d) FORD FAIRLANE brush wound right hind.
e) THERMOPYLAE brush wound left hind.
THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
