THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SKY GLITTER (K Matsunyane) and GAL GADOT (F Herholdt) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 400m, EDWARD LONGSHANKS (*S Sosibo) hung out and ducked out sharply. b) Leaving the 400m, INTEGRATE (C Zackey) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of FEATHER THE NEST (P Strydom) c) Apprentice S Sosibo, the rider of EDWARD LONGSHANKS, accidentally dropped his crop at the 350m. d) COMING IN HOT (G Lerena) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. e) Apprentice S Sosibo, the rider of EDWARD LONGSHANKS, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. f) Jockey F Herholdt reported that GAL GADOT changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. g) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that ROGER THE DODGER choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. h) COMING IN HOT (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (RS).
