THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHINING ARMOUR (*G Pieterse) was stubborn loading. b) SACRED VALLEY (W Kennedy) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SACRED VALLEY (W Kennedy) jumped awkwardly outwards making contact with the left-side front gate leaving the stalls. b) SHINING ARMOUR (*G Pieterse), which over-raced in the early stages, raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) LIDL MISS SUNSHINE (P Strydom) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. Thereafter, Jockey P Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with LIDL MISS SUNSHINE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that HOTCHIWITCHI did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that GLOBAL LOUISE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) HALLOWEEN (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
