THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) LESHAWES (*K A Brewer) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer H E Adamson was advised (GT).
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) JUST AS RICH (J R Syster), which commenced to over-race in the early stages, ran onto and clipped the heels of SILLY FELLA (S Khumalo) at approximately the 1100m.
b) At approximately the 300m, BANHA BRIDGE (J P van der Merwe) was steadied momentarily when racing into restricted galloping room between the inside running rail and SILVERY BLUE (R Munger), which rolled in.
c) Shortly before the finish line, SILLY FELLA (S Khumalo) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of GOLDEN TUNE (*J Solomons) and on the inside of WIND SOCK (W Kennedy), which hung in in the concluding stages.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to LESHAWES, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable jumping with a companion.
Suspension dates: 4 July 2022 to 10 July 2022. LESHAWES may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer H E Adamson was advised.
e) GOLDEN TUNE (*J Solomons), the winner (dead-heat), was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L J Human advised (RS).
f) MCEBISI (M van Rensburg), the winner (dead-heat), was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, was advised (RS).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) GOLDEN TUNE was ridden by Apprentice J Solomons (declared 3 July 2022 at 07H58).
b) ENGLISH PRIMROSE Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 54,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) SEA WAYS raced with a cornell collar (declared 11 June 2022).
b) WIND SOCK raced equipped with alumites (declared 28 June 2022 at 10H57).
