THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MERCURIAL JET (F Herholdt) was slow into stride. b) COUNTESS DANZA (N Klink) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, BLESS MY STARS (W Kennedy) and GREEN BUBBLES (R Danielson) were bumped out by COUNTESS DANZA which jumped out. b) At approximately the 150m, Jockey R Danielson the rider of GREEN BUBBLES, accidentally struck himself on the back with his crop and thereafter accidentally dropped his crop at the 100m. Jockey Danielson reported that GREEN BUBBLES made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey F Herholdt reported that MERCURIAL JET changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) BLESS MY STARS (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MERCURIAL JET examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) FLYING SPIRIT not striding out right front. c) GREEN BUBBLES examined post race, nothing obvious detected. d) HIGH ROLLER scalped right hind. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
