THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POT SOX (E Webber) was stubborn loading. b) STONE COLD (JP van der Merwe) kicked the back gate in the starting stalls. c) JEAN'S MAN (Y Ramzan) was nervous in the stalls, kicked the back gates and brushed the front gate leaving the stalls. d) KISS OF LIFE (R Khathi) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) REGIMENTAL (G Cheyne) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that STONE COLD did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 100m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) PLEASEDTOMEETYOU, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised.
