THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMERICAN STYLE (N Patel) was stubborn to load. b) GREEN SLEEVES (R Fourie) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) EMBARRAS DE RICHES (*C Dicken) over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist and as a result raced wide around the turn from the 1000m. b) Approaching the 300m, AMERICAN STYLE (N Patel) was momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of GREEN SLEEVES (R Fourie). Thereafter, AMERICAN STYLE (N Patel) and GREEN SLEEVES (R Fourie) brushed. c) WHISPERING GREEN (S Moodley) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. d) Jockey W Kennedy reported that he felt something amiss with GRAPHENE AEROGEL in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer P Peter will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. e) WINTER MELODY (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
