THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PUFF OF SMOKE (*M Katjedi) kicked in the stalls. b) POPPY OF BAYEAUX (T Gumede) reared and was restless in the stalls. c) MAGIC TYCOON (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MAGIC TYCOON (K de Melo) raced wide around the turn. b) SILVER CLOCK (S Khumalo) was hanging in from the 300m. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with BEADED GOWN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of MAGIC TYCOON (K de Melo) (17.10 lengths, 33/10 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) When questioned regarding the below par performance of MAGIC TYCOON, Jockey K de Melo explained to the Board that this filly played-up at the start and did not enjoy the polytrack surface on which it raced today. He further stated that, in his opinion, these factors had contributed to the performance shown today. The Board noted this explanation. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TIME IS TICKING (A Arries), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer W Marwing was advised. (Suspension Dates : 19.07.22 - 16.09.22, bdi) g) BECKONING BEAUTY (J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
