THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INARA'S DYNASTY (R Fourie) jumped inwards and bumped BEAU KALA (K Steyn). b) SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL (G van Niekerk) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, INARA'S DYNASTY (R Fourie) cast its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) At the 400m TURKISH KELIM (G Cheyne), which raced green, was momentarily inconvenienced when close to the heels of SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL (G van Niekerk). c) Jockey G van Niekerk reported that SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL (Betting 33/10 ; Distance 11.50), which raced keenly in the early stages, failed to respond to his urgings from the 400m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) INARA'S DYNASTY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
