CRUZ GIOVANNI was stubborn loading. The all clear for this race was delayed due to the Stipendiary Board ascertaining the correctness of the Judges result pertaining to the 4th and the 5th placings. When Jockey Agrella was afforded an opportunity to take the Board through with regards to the manner in which he rode CRUZ GIOVANNI. He explained to the Board that this being a big horse, he prefers not to rush it in the early part of the race and give it an opportunity to unwind and get itself in the race, at approximately the 1300m, as his mount was beginning to make its run, he felt that Jockey Gould was rolling towards him as he was on the inside running rail, resulting him being momentarily disappointed for a run and losing ground and momentum. His explanation was noted. SAMAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: TARZAN - cut into both hind heel bulb.
