PARTY ANGEL was nervous in the stalls. EDMONDA was stubborn loading. Trainer Smith signed an admission of guilt for a contravention in that he failed to vaccinate the horse KINGSMAN against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. A penalty of a fine was imposed. Approaching the 300m, EDMONDA, which rolled inward slightly, and PARTY ANGEL, which simultaneously shifted out away from the crop came together and bumped, resulting in EDMONDA becoming unbalanced momentarily. Apprentice Mphanya reported that JADEED was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Yeni reported that KINGSMAN was changing legs continuously in the running. DEEPSTON and WIND FINDER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KINGSMAN - not striding out in front. JADEED - not striding out behind.
