MTAKATYI was nervous in the stalls. MISS JACKSONVILLE was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 2 lengths. BURNT ROCK fly jumped leaving the stalls, slow away and lost 1 length. ANTE OMNIA kicked the back gate in the stalls. Jockey Yeni, the rider of DUKE OF HARZARD, and Jockey Byleveld, the rider of ANTE OMNIA, reported that their respective mounts were not striding out freely in the running. Trainer Smith signed an admission of guilt for a contravention in that he failed to present EMERITO correctly equipped when presented in the parade ring. A penalty of a fine was imposed. Jockey Maujean reported that ZABIVAKA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. BURNT ROCK shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. Trainer Bremner was questioned with regards to the improved performance of MTAKATYI she offered the Board no suitable explanation. Trainer Bremmer's attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in an out running and was advised that should this gelding run in an inconsistent manner in future he will be suspended. Jockey Khathi was stood down by the Course Medical Officer on duty after the running of this race (dehydrated). MTAKATYI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. EMERITO raced without a tongue tie. Vet: MISS JACKSONVILLE - not striding out right fore. DUKE OF HAZARD and ANTE OMNIA - not striding out in front. ZABIVAKA - abnormal respiratory noise.
