THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) LITTLEMARYSUNSHINE (S Khumalo) and PRNCESS OZMA (S Veale) were stubborn to load.
b) TIME FO ORCHIDS (K de Melo) lost one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) At the 1400m, ORARARI GOLD (M Yeni) was brushed out by NONE OTHER (C Zackey) which commenced to over-race in the early stages. As a result, ORARARI GOLD (M Yeni) was steadied off the heels of ROCK THE FOX (C Habib) which rolled in.
b) In the concluding stages, ORARARI GOLD (M Yeni) which was hanging in from the 300m, was steadied off the heels of CANADIAN SUMMER (J Gates) which shifted out.
c) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why BLESS MY STARS (W Kennedy) was bumped in shortly before the finish.
d) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with TIME FO ORCHIDS in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e) CANADIAN SUMMER (J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Moore advised (RVR).
