THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BUMRAH (J Mphanya) was unruly and stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) IDEAL VIEW (JP van der Merwe) was examined at the start by the course veterinary surgeon and subsequently withdrawn, causing a delay. b) BOLD RESOLVE (S Khumalo) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) BETHEL (Y Ramzan) brushed the inside running rail leaving the 500m. d) AMELL (*MH Zuma) was hanging in from the 300m. e) Jockey T Gould reported that SOWETO ROSE choked up in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with TRACY'S PRINCESS and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) BOLD RESOLVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
