THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MILL QUEEN (C Habib) was difficult to load. The Starting Stall Certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MILL QUEEN, this mare has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 7 August 2022 to 13 August 2022. MILL QUEEN may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (BN). b) At approximately the 1200m, LINGANOMORE (M van Renbsurg) was checked in avoiding the heels of TWICE THE TRIP (K Matsunyane) which rolled outwards and then steadied inwards to avoid making contact with MIDNIGHT GEM (M Yeni). The Board, after reviewing the footage to this incident, could not apportion blame to any rider and deemed this to be a racing incident. c) At approximately the 150m, ROSAPRIMA (*S Sosibo) had to check and switch in to avoid the heels of MIDNIGHT GEM (M Yeni) which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey M Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of MIDNIGHT GEM, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ROSAPRIMA (*S Sosibo) when he shifted out at the 150m. Jockey Yeni signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. Dates of Suspension: To be advised. d) ROHA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P Peter advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ROSAPRIMA was ridden by Apprentice S Sosibo who claims a 4kg allowance (declared 4 August 2022 at 09H03).
