THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) KYNISKA (*C Dicken) was stubborn to load.
b) TAHITIAN SUNSET (*K Strydom) lost two lengths.
c) MORGAN LA FAY (C Habib) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) TAHITIAN SUNSET (*K Strydom) raced detached from the field throughout.
b) LITTLE ARTIST (A Arries) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight.
c) BANDERILLA (J P v'd Merwe) was hanging out between the 350m and 150m.
d) Apprentice C Dicken (KYNISKA) briefly dropped his left side rein approaching the 100m.
e) Jockey J P v'd Merwe reported that BANDERILLA coughed in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f) Jockey C Habib reported that MORGAN LA FAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning BANDERILLA, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer D Bosch was advised. (Suspension Dates : 16.08.22 - 14.10.22, bdi)
h) MORGAN LA FAY (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (HM).
