THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STOLEN THUNDER (K Matsunyane) was stubborn loading. Assistant Trainer B Donnelly, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (PHvdW). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 150m, BEY SUYAY (P Strydom), which shifted out away from the crop, and SILLY FELLA (K de Melo), which rolled in marginally, came together and brushed. b) Jockey C Habib was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride the horse SECRET IS OUT out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining fifth (5th) position. Jockey C Habib signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1,500.00. c) ELECTRIC GOLD (*R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, was advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SILLY FELLA: Jockey K de Melo weighed out at 54,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
