THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZABADAK (*R Venniker) refused to load and was withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Apprentice D Geerthsen (SIRENS OF SILENCE) accidentally dropped his crop at the 400m. b) WHIZ BANG (C Habib) was hanging in from the 500m. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ZABADAK (*R Venniker), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 22.08.22 to the 28.08.22. ZABADAK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M L Roberts was advised. (SL) d) FORGOTTEN TIME (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SIRENS OF SILENCE raced without a tongue tie (advised 17.08.22/13h23). b) RUN FOR RICKY raced with a compression mask (advised 16.08.22/13h19) and this colt was ridden by Apprentice C Dicken. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) RUN FOR RICKY raced with club colours. Stipes permission granted. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) SIRENS OF SILENCE : Abnormal respiratory noise. b) WHIZ BANG : Scalp wound right hind. THE MEDICAL OFFICER REPORTED : a) Jockey T Godden was examined after being dislodged :- concussion. Unable to continue riding. Dr Pillay. Rule 25.12 applies and a mandatory 10 day medical suspension imposed. SCRATCHINGS : a) ZABADAK : Refused to load. Withdrawn by the Starter at 12h45 and the betting was 25/1.
