THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ANGELSEA (K Matsunyane), EDVIGE (*D Geerthsen) and LA DREAMER (R Khathi) were stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ZINIKELE (A Mgudlwa) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) Shortly after the start, COFFEEBERRY (S Khumalo) was bumped in by ANGELSEA (K Matsunyane) which jumped inwards. c) Approaching the 500m, VIEW THE ROSES (*R Venniker) was brushed out by LA DREAMER (R Khathi) which switched out off the heels of EDVIGE (*D Geerthsen) which rolled out. d) MYTHICAL TUNE (T Gumede) was hanging out from the 300m. Thereafter, this filly shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) Trainer M J Odendaal signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse LA DREAMER. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. f) ANGELSEA (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer N Kotzen acting on behalf of Trainer M de Kock advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ZINIKELE raced equipped with blinkers (advised 20.08.22/20h50).
