THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COZY DOT COM (*M Katjedi) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MASTERS BEAUTY (*R Venniker) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that UMVOTI took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) MASTERS BEAUTY (*R Venniker) cast the left front shoe approaching the 1200m. d) Jockey M Mjoka signed an admission of guilt for Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he mis-used his crop by striking the horse ROY'S ROCKER more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey M Mjoka struck the horse ROY'S ROCKER, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop, the fact that he won the race and his record (2) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1500 was imposed. e) ROY'S ROCKER (M Mjoka), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (BB). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) MASTERS BEAUTY was ridden by Apprentice R Venniker (advised 22.08.22/6h47) and this mare raced with a tongue tie (advised 19.08.22/9h03). b) COZY DOT COM raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 12.08.22/9h14). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) UMVOTI : Lame right hind. Vet certificate required prior to racing. b) MASTERS BEAUTY : Not striding out right front. SCRATCHINGS : a) MAGIC INSPIRATION : Insufficient recovery time (Trainer - 22.08.22/6h52). Rule 53.5 applies. b) ANGEL'S WISH : No transport (Trainer - 21.08.22/8h34).
