FOLLOW MY PATH was slow into stride. BLONDE BABE flyjumped leaving the stalls. At approximately the 1200m, JUST KIDDING had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of BLONDE BABE. BLONDE BABE fly-jumped badly leaving the stalls resulting in Jockey Maujean becoming unbalanced and briefly losing the footing to his left side stirrup iron. After racing in a handy position, ENJOY THE VIEW tired badly and commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. Jockey Khumalo felt something amiss with BOHICA and eased this colt out of the race at the 250m. Jockey Khumalo reported to the Board that BOHICA had travelled well throughout the race and had moved up into a challenging position between the 500m and the 300m. At this stage he felt BOHICA shorten his stride and was under the impression that he had been run into behind and had injured himself, which resulted in him easing this colt out of the race and dismounting at the 100m. Trainer Azzie was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of BOHICA on return to stables. The saddle on HER EMINENCE slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Stipendiary Board. SPIRITOFTHEGROOVE and GAIAN GLORY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HER EMINENCE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: ENJOY THE VIEW - fatigued. BOHICA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. JUST KIDDING - cut into left hind. THANDEKHILE - fatigued.
