THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to a technical issue in the Judge's box. b) EVERLASTING (K Matsunyane) cast its right front shoe shortly after the start. c) BLIND FAITH (JP van der Merwe) raced green. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that GYPSY EXPRESS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the performance of AFRODITE (K de Melo) (Betting 28/10 ; Distance 13.15), which raced green, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performance of WHY NOT JACKIE (G Wright) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding AFRODITE (K de Melo), Trainer AN Marcus will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. h) CITYSCAPE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
