THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIZONA (S Mbhele) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) AENEAS (G Wright) was hanging out on the bend. b) Leaving the 200m GALACTIC PATH (JP van der Merwe) rolled in, brushed THOUSAND SHIPS (L Mxothwa) and was immediately straightened. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that STEINBECK changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) GALACTIC PATH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised.
