THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELUSIVE MADAME (R Simons) was slow into stride. b) STREET'S AHEAD (M Thackeray) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 100m ELUSIVE MADAME (R Simons) had to ease when awkwardly placed between COUNTESS OF PEACE (R Danielson) and KUNGFOO LIGHTNING (N Qaule) which shifted in away from the crop from the 300m and thereafter rolled in. Jockey N Qaule was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of KUNGFOO LIGHTNING, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ELUSIVE MADAME (R Simons) at approximately the 100m. Jockey Qaule signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. Dates of Suspension: 4 September 2022 to 10 September 2022 (both days inclusive). b) A COLOURFUL PAST (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
