THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FASINADA (*G Pieterse) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) TABBY KAT (*S Sosibo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) GILDA GRAY (*R A Venniker) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JINQIN (*S Hlengwa), which hung in from the 600m, commenced to give ground to the field from the 500m. Thereafter, Apprentice S Hlengwa reported that he felt something amiss with JINQIN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) FASINADA (*G Pieterse) shifted in away from the crop from the 150m. c) In the concluding stages, GILDA GRAY (*R A Venniker), which hung out from the 350m, was carried inwards by TABBY KAT (*S Sosibo), which shifted in away from the crop from the 100m. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning JINQIN, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised. e) FASINADA (*G Pieterse), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
